Opening Night
Well it is finally here! Opening night for the 2006 Haunt. And what a blast it was! I had so much fun. Even though I didn't work "in" the haunt scaring people, I still was able to here the screams from within. That in itself made the ansty. It is funny to watch the transformation of macho teenage boys when they are waiting to scared little boys when it is their turn to go into the haunt. And of course I got the classic question " is it really haunted in here" so many times. I would give them a few things that have happened here and leave it up to them to decide for themselves. One teenager said to his friends " I believe her, either that or she is a really good liar." That made me smile a little. My 2 kids also had a hand in scaring the people. They were called the evil little midgets. They had so much fun there. On the drive home they couldn't stop laughing and recounting their adventures down there. Well I must go and clean up my house a little, I have and Uncle and Aunt coming this afternoon and because of all my running around I have negelected my house. (That is an understatement lol).

Update
So sorry that I haven't updated this blog in awhile but I have been very busy. I am in the process of helping put together the haunt in the court house. Not an easy task let me tell you. Lately they have turned on the heat and damn it is hot in there. Have to wear light clothing, but at least it will help me loose weight from all the sweating lol. Not only am I doing that but I am also acting in an one act festival this year. Yes I have an actual speaking part! Now lets top it all off with WORK. Which has gotten extremely busy. Then add kids into all this and I barely have time to breathe lol. No wonder I am stressed lol. Oh well I always thought I work better under stress lol.

Things that Irk me
PART ONE
In no particular order, all irksome:
In no particular order, all irksome:
- Styrofoam - nasty sounding stuff, gives me the willies
- Chewing with your mouth open - gross and annoying (this includes gum chewing)
- The word Doiley - don't know why but that word drives me nuts
- Spiders - all those legs are just unnatural and creepy
- Paper mache - too sticky, gets everywhere, did I mention sticky?
- Towels folded the wrong way - I am very anal about how my towels are folded
- Wool sweaters right out of the wash (refer to styrofoam)
- Bees - cute in cartoons, not in real life
- any kind of bug - the more legs the worse
- Old people driving - come on if I wanted to go at a coast I would walk!
- Cobwebs - just as creepy as spiders, ask mom what happens when you put me in a room full of cobwebs, and I am talking horror movie type cobwebs!
- Empty containers in the fridge - would it kill you to throw it out?
Well that is the end to Part One, rest assured that there is plenty more.

Not again!
Last night as I was laying in bed and pondering the universe I heard a commotion. Thinking that maybe one of the kids had woken up and was coming down to use the bathroom I waited for the tell tale footsteps down the stairs. None came but the noise continued in an odd fashion. Looking around my room I noticed the one of my cats was missing. Then knowing that it was him getting into something I got out of my warm, comfy bed and trucked over quickly to catch him in some act. I throw on the lights and what do I see....I see that Salem has something cornered by the stairs. First thought...A MOUSE! But upon looking alot closer I see that it was Belle. The F***ing hamster was on the loose again and Salem almost had a snack. I do the dive to "gently" tried to catch her but she is in fighting mode and my hands become a potty for this rodent. But I catch her and get her back in her cage and then I wonder. When did the kids leave it open or has this creature figured a way to escape? Whatever at this point I am too tired and my hands smell. Wash hands, curse at hamster, go to bed.
